Behind the scenes, we’re just regular people—community members, thinkers, listeners—who care deeply about mental and emotional well-being. We’ve all had moments where we struggled, felt isolated, or just needed to know someone out there got it. So we created a place for stories, support, and real, honest reflection.

This isn’t about quick fixes or pretending everything’s fine. It’s about showing up for each other and making room for the messy, meaningful parts of being human.

Our Mission

This project was born out of a very real, very personal place: we’ve all been lonely. We’ve all felt disconnected, even when surrounded by people. And we know how hard it can be to say that out loud.

So our mission is simple: To create a connected and supportive community where individuals, regardless of age or background, can engage, build meaningful relationships, grow connections within our communities, and combat loneliness.

We want to raise awareness of loneliness, offer support to those experiencing it, and remind everyone that connection is possible—even in small, quiet ways. We want to talk openly about what it means to feel alone without shame or judgment.

Whether you’re here to learn, to feel understood, or to find a way forward, you’re in the right place. This space was made for you.

Our Team

We’re a small, passionate crew of humans who care deeply about connection, empathy, and making things that feel honest. Some of us have backgrounds in mental health, others in faith-based organizations, education, or community work. But what really brought us together was this shared belief: people deserve to feel like they belong.

You won’t find a lot of fancy titles here. Just folks who show up, listen carefully, and try to make this program meaningful. We don’t have all the answers—but we care a lot, and we’re doing our best to build something that helps.

Loneliness weighs heavily on the heart; One cannot think well, love well, or find peace if one feels isolated and disconnected from others. -Anonymous

How Can We Do It?

Thrive Together is a community-driven program designed to combat loneliness in West Central Indiana. Thrive West Central developed the program and hopes to partner with local faith groups, mental health professionals, and businesses to provide outreach and support. Our partner church is the First Baptist Church of Brazil, and together, we’ve received funding from a Congregations with Communities grant that will fund all services related to the program at no charge for the 12-month pilot. We hope to partner with many more churches, nonprofit organizations, and businesses to provide services to each of our seven counties. Churches can participate by distributing information to their congregations, recruiting volunteers, and hosting scheduled roundtable discussions.
