DESCRIPTION:Join us for a training that is a crucial step towards building a healthier\, more compassionate\, and resilient community.  Mental Health First Aid USA is an evidence-based training that teaches participants how to identify\, understand\, and respond to someone who is experiencing a mental health or substance-use challenge. \nKey topics covered include:\n\nCommon mental health disorders like anxiety\, depression\, psychosis\, and substance use disorder.\nCrisis situations\, such as panic attacks\, suicidal thoughts\, and non-suicidal self-injury.\nStrategies for non-judgmental listening and offering reassurance.\nThe importance of early intervention and reducing the stigma associated with mental illness.\n\nBecome a Mental Health First Aider! \nGrant funding will cover the cost of the training.
